On March 6, Leigh Newman will be speaking at "What Every Estate Planner Needs to Know About the Laws of Other New England States & Florida," a seminar and live webcast presented by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) New England. The seminar will address the estate tax regimes and pertinent laws of each New England state and laws in Florida that affect residents of Florida and who may want to adopt a Florida domicile. Newman will focus on the estate tax laws of Connecticut, highlighting recent changes and laws of particular interest to practitioners in other New England states, including the new Connecticut estate tax, estate tax filing requirements, state-only marital deductions, probate fees and the new power of attorney act.
