Defense Counsel, In-House Counsel, and the Many Carriers: Ethical Concerns About the Ultimate Privilege

November 2, 2017
Northeast Regional Claims Conference

Joe Scully was a featured panelist in a discussion, "Defense Counsel, In-House Counsel, and the Many Carriers: Ethical Concerns About the Ultimate Privilege," at the Northeast Regional Claims Conference in Hartford on November 2. The discussion illustrated how to best and ethically exchange information between outside counsel and client, as well as in-house and staff counsel, especially when claim supervision and coverage disputes arise. The discussion considered the perspective from an insurer, reinsurer and practicing counsel. The conference was a one-day program designed for insurance executives, claims professionals and outside counsel in the Northeast who specialize in insurance coverage and casualty claims.
