On June 28, Steven Cash will speak at the Federal Bar Counsel’s Program, "Up Close with FISA, Discussing the Intersection of Law and Intelligence Gathering" at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Courthouse in New York. Dan Wenner coordinated the event. Steven Cash will speak on the panel, which will address various issues related to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). The discussion will address the similarities, differences, tensions and overlaps between litigation and intelligence perspectives. The other panelists are Elizabeth Goitein, Esq., Co-Director, Liberty & National Security Program at the Brennan Center for Justice, and Alexander W. Joel, Esq., the Civil Liberties Protection Officer for the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence. The program will be moderated by the Honorable Kenneth M. Karas, U.S. District Judge, Southern District of New York.
