At the Intersection of National Security and Energy Law: A Practitioner's Approach to Protecting America's Energy Sector and Implementing the National Infrastructure Protection Plan

Evan Reese will moderate "At the Intersection of National Security and Energy Law: A Practitioner's Approach to Protecting America's Energy Sector and Implementing the National Infrastructure Protection Plan," a panel discussion of prominent senior legal practitioners assessing the critical intersection between national security and energy law. The event will be held April 28, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, LLP, in Washington DC.

The event, organized by Steven Cash, James Blackburn and Reese and presented by the Bar Association of the District of Columbia’s Committee on National Security Law, Policy and Practice, will feature:

  • Hon. Suzanne Spaulding, Under Secretary for the National Protection and Programs Directorate at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security;
  • Hon. Cheryl A. LaFleur, Commissioner at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, U.S. Department of Energy; and
  • Patrick Currier, Senior Counsel at Energy & Commerce Committee, U.S. House of Representatives.
The panel will offer practical strategies for addressing the emerging issues in national security and energy law that have recently coalesced.
