"Labor and Employment Updates," New Jersey Bankers Association

On June 27, Francine Esposito presented "Labor and Employment Updates" to the New Jersey Bankers Association.  Francine reviewed a series of practical scenarios to highlight various issues of concern for employers, including but not limited to complying with new discrimination/harassment requirements; appropriately adapting to the new salary thresholds for exemptions from overtime; avoiding the pitfalls of artificial intelligence use; navigating the challenges presented by joint employment and the use of independent contractors and temporary workers; ensuring appropriate content in various employment agreements; and understanding how non-union employers may unwittingly violate the National Labor Relations Act and the significant consequences of such violations.
