AANHPI Voices: A Dialogue on Cultural Identity and Mental Health," Day Pitney
On May 30, Day Pitney hosted "AANHPI Voices: A Dialogue on Cultural Identity and Mental Health" to acknowledge Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Heritage and Mental Health Awareness Month.
The AANHPI Voices fireside chat guest speakers Attorney Jessica Nguyen and Dr. Sally Chung discussed challenges colleagues within this community experience in the workplace, as well as the intersectionality of cultural identity and mental health. Attorney Nguyen is the Chief Legal Officer at Lexion, an AI-powered contract management start-up. Dr. Chung is a licensed clinical psychologist in Washington, Hawaii, and New York. She has worked extensively with AANHPI individuals and communities to explore their cultural identity and their relationships in childhood, and how those experiences impact their current relationships with themselves, others, and the world. The program was an interactive exchange of ideas that nurtured curiosity and invited participation from all.
