"Commercial Real Estate – From Handshake to Closing," NJICLE
Webinar hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE)
On September 8, Katharine Coffey, co-chair of the firm's Real Estate and Environmental practice, presented on land use, redevelopment, and PILOT considerations related to commercial real estate transactions at "Commercial Real Estate – From Handshake to Closing" hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE), and presented in cooperation with the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Section.
This course on commercial real estate transactions in New Jersey teaches attorneys how to craft and negotiate contracts and leases that protect clients against untoward or excessive risk. Attorneys learned how to address and anticipate the problems arising from title, environmental, and financing issues, and find out how to focus preparation so that they can draft and review all the necessary documents for a successful commercial closing.
