On June 16, Art Law Attorney Melissa A. Passman will be a speaker on the "A Primer on Artist Trusts: Part 1," panel at the Center for Art Law. This event is the first in a planned series exploring the use of trusts as a legacy planning tool for artists. This talk will provide an introduction to general concepts around using trusts and their application to artists, including reasons for choosing a trust and the importance of the selection of a trustee. Additionally, it will provide an overview of legacy planning alternatives, including artist endowed foundations, and when each might be an appropriate choice.
