The Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey
On March 17, Day Pitney's Director of Marketing Shana Gillis will be serving on the panel, "The Ethical Parameters of Attorneys' Use of Social Media Platforms," at the 45th Annual Judicial Conference sponsored by the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey (AFBNJ). In addition to providing information about the obligation of attorneys to have working knowledge about social media platforms, the panel will showcase the manner in which lawyers are using social media to "advertise" and whether such uses are permitted under New Jersey's ethical rules. Gillis will offer an overview of best practices for law firms to help ensure that attorneys are acting in accord with New Jersey's advertising rules in their use of social media.
Day Pitney's General Counsel and Litigation Partner Elizabeth Sher is the current president of the AFBNJ.
