Day Pitney Sponsors New Jersey Women Lawyers Association 6th Annual WILL Platinum Gala

On March 20, 2013, Day Pitney was a platinum sponsor of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association (NJWLA) 6th annual WILL Platinum Gala in Cedar Grove, NJ.

The keynote speaker for the evening was Dee Dee Myers, former White House press secretary and accomplished author. Drawing on experiences garnered through research for her book, Why Women Should Rule the World, Ms. Myers spoke of the need for women to be involved at the highest levels of corporate America, government and society generally.

Leadership awards were given to Judge Judith H. Wizmur of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court; The Honorable Jennifer Velez, Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Human Services; Lucinda Long, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Valley National Bank; Justice Jaynee LaVecchia of the New Jersey Supreme Court; Lynda Bennett, NJWLA Past President; and Dean Frances V. Bouchoux of Rutgers Law School. More than 650 guests attended the event, including firm attorneys Kathy Lawler, Jennifer Capone, Paul Marino, Liza Hecht, Michael Dunne, Christina Parlapiano, Dennis LaFiura, Mary Lou Parker and Director of Diversity Asker Saeed.
