Day Pitney partner Joy Harmon Sperling took part in the 2013 New Jersey Women in Leadership Symposium on March 8, 2013, presented by the Tri-State Diversity Council. The theme for the symposium was "Women Leaders as Architects of Change"; it included an event in Connecticut on March 6th and in New York on March 7th. The sessions provided attendees with valuable insight gained from female executives' experiences, along with a chance to network. Joy discussed "Winning at the Game of Office Politics," while other speakers addressed, "Perceptions of Assertive Women," "Hints to Maintain Your Value During Shaky Economic Times," "Establishing Credibility In The Workplace," and "Cross Cultural Leadership: Women Bridging the Racial Divide."
