On October 22, 2015, Day Pitney was a sponsor of the 2015 Central Connecticut State University Civil Rights Project Lecture in New Britain, Connecticut. The keynote lecture was delivered by Paul Chavez of the Cesar Chavez Foundation and son of noted civil rights icon Cesar Chavez.
