On March 13, 2014, Day Pitney was a sponsor of the Association of Latin American Law Students' sixteenth annual scholarship fundraiser "Fiesta con Sabor" at Rutgers University School of Law-Newark. The evening's keynote speaker and honoree was the Honorable Jose L. Fuentes, J.A.D. of the Superior Court of New Jersey - Appellate Division. Also honored were the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey's Vice President for the Northern Region Monica de Los Rios and Membership Secretary Arlene Qui?ones Perez for their contributions to the Hispanic community. The annual dinner raises funds for an institutional scholarship to benefit students from historically disadvantaged backgrounds at the law school.

The event was well-attended by students, faculty, and alumni, including firm attorneys Andres Acebo and J. Andres Mayor. Mr. Acebo is a former president of the association
