Day Pitney Sponsors South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut Annual Awards Dinner - October 28, 2014

On October 28, 2014, Day Pitney was a Platinum sponsor of the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut (SABAC) Annual Awards Dinner held at the Hilton Hotel in Hartford, Connecticut.

The evening's keynote speaker and recipient of the 2014 SABAC Distinguished Legal Professional Award was Nimesh M. Patel, Executive Director of the United States Department of Homeland Security's Office of Diversity & Inclusion. The 2014 SABAC Trailblazer Award recipient was the Honorable Judge Rupal Shah of the Connecticut Superior Court and the first Indian-American judge in Connecticut. The 2014 SABAC Community Service Award recipient was the Yale Law School Worker and Immigrant Rights Advocacy Clinic.

Over 130 guests attended the event, including Day Pitney attorneys Namita Shah, Richard Wasserman, Walter Menjivar, Sunita Paknikar, Tekhara Kimber, Pat Gerity, Joseph Scully, Director of Diversity Asker Saeed, and various guests and clients of the firm.
