Litigation Associate – Miami, FL

Position Overview

Day Pitney's Complex Commercial Litigation group is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience to join our growing team in Miami, Florida.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in all aspects of complex commercial litigation and familiarity with state and federal courts in Florida. We are looking for candidates who are excited about litigating and taking on more responsibility, including handling discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing pleadings and motions, day-to-day case management, and participation in trial preparation. Prior judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Day Pitney's Complex Commercial Litigation team advises clients on a broad range of complex commercial and business litigation and complex disputes involving contract matters, shareholder and partnership agreements, antitrust, unfair competition, probate and trust, construction, real estate, appellate, and class action litigation, among other areas.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of solid commercial litigation experience
• Excellent technical, professional and client service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
• Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
• Effective and efficient problem solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
• Florida bar admission in good standing
