Marketing and Business Development Coordinator - Boston, MA; Hartford, CT; Parsippany, NJ

AmLaw 200 law firm is seeking a full-time Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to support all of the firm's marketing and business development activities. Duties include creating pitches and proposals, developing additional types of marketing collateral, utilizing marketing technology, and assistance with event planning that supports the growth of the firm. This position will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Business Development.

Within this role, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to excel within a deadline-driven, service environment and demonstrate that they can communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively. The position also requires strong writing and editing skills, with meticulous attention to detail and personal organization. The ability to adapt "on the fly" and adjust quickly to new tasks is critical while coordinating multiple projects with varying and changing priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with attorneys to develop materials for client presentations and pitches; support as necessary, including creating PowerPoint presentations and Excel-driven charts and graphs
  • Assemble and assist in the development, drafting, and tracking of pitches and RFPs
  • Contribute to, and assist in the development of a firm-wide database for representative matters and proposal content; maintain the language and matters within that library
  • Draft, proofread and edit marketing and business development copy, including practice area descriptions, matters lists, invitations and attorney biographies
  • Assist with the collection and maintenance of information for client team action plans and other deliverables
  • Create, propose, execute, and present on market research projects
  • Assist with tasks related to event planning, execution and follow-up
  • Coordinate special projects and , provide basic research and data collection
  • Provide administrative support to other marketing managers as needed

Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. required. Major in journalism, English, public relations or similar preferred
  • Professional work experience required; professional services/law firm experience strongly preferred
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding organizational skills reflecting an ability to prioritize tasks and manage multi-stage projects
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with an ability to be productive without compromising quality
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel; knowledge of databases, CRM systems and e-mail marketing software a plus
  • A desire to take on new projects and develop additional skills
