Marketing Assistant - Parsippany, NJ

The Marketing Assistant position is an essential component of our Marketing Department. The position is responsible for handling general administrative tasks, processing invoices and expense reimbursements, tracking projects, testing email campaigns, inputting information into our marketing database, and assisting where needed and as necessary to meet firm marketing objectives.

The person in this position will need to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. They will be asked to handle multiple tasks, making it important for them to be able to manage their time, set priorities and problem-solve. They will interact with firm employees at all levels, including executives, partners, other attorneys, legal assistants and staff in various departments. It is extremely important that they have a professional demeanor, outgoing personality and good communication skills. The ideal candidate will also be team-oriented, self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented, organized and have the desire to work in a collaborative environment as an assistant to a Marketing team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer and the Marketing Department
  • Process invoices and expense reimbursements
  • Assist with the tracking of Marketing projects
  • Participate in the testing of email campaigns
  • Aid with marketing collateral requests
  • Help with the maintenance of the marketing database
  • Support the event coordinators with planning and execution, where needed
  • Handle purchases and attorney requests of marketing promotional items and gifts, including maintaining inventory
  • Assist where needed and as necessary to meet firm marketing objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
  • Superior computer skills and tech savvy (proficiency in MS Office)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and achieve deadlines
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, resourcefulness and ability to work independently and closely with others.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy
  • Desire to take on new projects and develop additional skills
  • Professional work experience required, professional services/law office experience strongly preferred
