Position Overview
Day Pitney's Real Estate and Environmental group is seeking associates with 2-4 years of environmental experience to join our growing team in our Parsippany, NJ office.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in environmental transaction and regulatory compliance issues related to real estate development and business transactions, including environmental due diligence and compliance, ISRA compliance, water and wetlands, site remediation, environmental permitting, environmental cost recovery, and experience engaging with environmental regulatory bodies.
Day Pitney's Real Estate and Environmental group represents developers, sellers, purchasers, landlords, tenants, and lenders in connection with the acquisition, sale, development, and leasing of real estate and related financing. We also represent industry on environmental matters in connection with legacy site remediation issues as well as due diligence for corporate mergers and acquisitions. Our team offers a full spectrum of legal services and provides legal counsel to a broad range of commercial enterprises including developers, Fortune 500 companies, manufacturing companies, financial institutions, and utilities (energy, water, telecommunications).
Day Pitney offers a hybrid in-office / remote work schedule to provide our attorneys with greater flexibility.
Job Requirements:
- 2-4 years of demonstrated real estate transactional experience
- Excellent technical, legal research, professional and client service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
- Effective and efficient problem solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
- NJ Bar admission in good standing
