Environmental Associate - Hartford, CT; Stamford, CT

Job Description:

Day Pitney's Real Estate, Environmental & Land Use group is seeking an environmental associates with 2-6 years of environmental experience to join our growing team in our Hartford and Stamford offices.

Day Pitney's Real Estate, Environmental and Land Use group represents industrial and commercial facilities, developers, sellers, purchasers, landlords, tenants, and lenders, including all facets of environmental law. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience representing clients in environmental aspects of real estate and business transactions and environmental regulatory and litigation matters, including in areas such as environmental permitting, environmental regulatory compliance and enforcement, Connecticut Transfer Act compliance, environmental due diligence, site remediation and brownfield redevelopment. Substantive familiarity with state and federal governmental and quasi-governmental environmental entities is required. Experience with land use, zoning, siting and energy matters is preferred but not required.

Day Pitney offers a hybrid in-office / remote work schedule to provide our attorneys with greater flexibility.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of demonstrated environmental experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills

  • Effective and efficient problem solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
  • Connecticut Bar admission in good standing
