Day Pitney remains committed to providing quality legal counsel, while protecting our clients and employees, and transforming our communities into more just, equal and equitable spaces. For more information, please visit our COVID-19 Resource Center | Racial Justice and Equity Task Force.
Diversity, equity and inclusion are core values of Day Pitney. The firm is committed to increasing diverse representation, promoting equity and fostering an inclusive environment. We believe people of diverse skills, opinions, perspectives, lifestyles, ideas, thinking and knowledge make us a stronger, more productive law firm. Day Pitney is committed to fostering a professional workplace where opportunities are available to all. We continue to strive to provide challenging opportunities, meaningful guidance and positive incentives to assist our professionals in achieving their greatest potential. In doing so, our goal is ultimately to create advantages from our differences and to achieve richer, broader and innovative results.
We create alliances with groups that share our focus on building greater diversity at our firm and across the legal services industry. For example, we were a founding member of the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity Inc. (formerly known as the Connecticut Lawyers Group) as well as the New Jersey Law Firm Group, and we participate in the Boston Law Firm Group. Day Pitney is a signatory to the New York City Bar Statement of Diversity Principles.
The Diversity and Inclusion Committee is responsible for furthering the firm's diversity objectives and implementing our diversity plan, which is spearheaded by the Executive Committee. Day Pitney qualified for Mansfield Certification Plus status, indicating that the firm has successfully achieved at least 30 percent diverse lawyer representation in a notable number of our current leadership roles and committees. Our attorneys are active in affinity bar associations. We routinely receive accolades for gender diversity, including the number of women who are part of our equity partnership. For years, we have scored 100 percent (top score) in the Corporate Equality Index published by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
