Day Pitney's Franchise Litigation practice group has represented national franchisors in hundreds of actions and arbitrations throughout the United States. Among other repeated successes, we have enjoined infringement, enforced terminations, upheld forum selection provisions, recovered liquidated damages provisions, and defeated claims asserted by franchisees.  

With one of the most active and experienced franchise litigation practices in the country, Day Pitney is well known throughout the franchise community. We represent major hotel and food services systems, global auto manufacturers, oil companies, and real estate brokerage companies. We recognize the benefit of early and amicable resolutions when possible and our lawyers have successfully counseled clients through arbitration, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. The key to settlement, however, often hinges on a willingness to proceed to trial, and we have extensive experience trying cases.
