Professional Experience

Mr. Dunne practices in general corporate law, with a focus on information technology and intellectual property. Mr. Dunne represents clients in the computer technology, manufacturing, health care, and financial services industries with respect to general corporate and regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, and information technology, including privacy and security issues. Mr. Dunne represents both owners and users of technology and intellectual property assets. His experience includes acquisitions by and of technology companies, enterprise-wide licensing arrangements, outsourcing, technology joint ventures, and advising businesses on structures to protect and enhance the value of intellectual property assets. Mr. Dunne also regularly advises clients on compliance with GLBA, state privacy laws, HIPAA and HITECH. He advises banks, retail companies, e-commerce operators and others with respect to actual and suspected security breaches involving web sites and other information technology resources. Mr. Dunne regularly serves as a panelist on programs featuring various legal aspects of information technology and corporate law. Recently he has spoken on topics ranging from privacy and security issues in M&A transactions to maximizing the benefits while minimizing the risks of Cloud Computing.

Mr. Dunne served as law clerk to The Honorable Herman D. Michels, Presiding Judge, Appellate Division, New Jersey Superior Court.
