Jeffrey Plotkin Speaks at Security Industry News' "Second Annual Securities Technology Conference"
10/6/2008

With the massive growth in automated trading, comes higher expectations for IT to ensure the right technology is in place. Daily trading in December and January of this year averaged 7.44 billion shares, 13 percent more than the previous quarterly peak. As of February 19 a record $16.3 trillion of shares traded in the U.S.

With increased trading comes increased pressure on existing IT infrastructures--more orders being transacted raise issues with capacity, data management and new challenges for managing risk from the sheer volume of transactions.

The Second Annual SecuritiesTech Conference provides a forum to discuss the latest challenges, concerns and solutions for supporting and driving your firm's strategic initiatives to help you compete effectively, as well as reduce cost.

Mr. Plotkin, partner in Day Pitney's New York office, will be a panelist on the topic of, "Treasury's Proposed Regulator Overhaul - Implications for Technology."
