PARSIPPANY, NJ., April 6, 2017 – Day Pitney LLP announced today that Danielle M. Corcione has joined the firm as counsel in the Litigation Department and the Government Enforcement and White Collar Criminal Defense practice group.
Corcione is a seasoned litigator, having represented individual and corporate clients in criminal, government investigations, and civil litigation matters; including those involving antitrust violations, payroll fraud, securities and accounting fraud and the False Claims Act. Before joining Day Pitney, she was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of New Jersey, in the Newark office's Health Care and Government Fraud Unit.
"Day Pitney has a strong reputation in complex commercial litigation and in white collar defense work," Corcione said. "I am excited at the opportunity to be part of Day Pitney's talented litigation team."
Before her service as a federal prosecutor, Corcione also gained substantial experience in private practice and as in-house counsel. She has worked on cross border civil litigation matters and advised corporate clients on privacy and data protection laws globally.
"Danielle's extensive experience in civil and criminal investigations and enforcement actions in several industries, including health care and financial services, will allow us to expand the excellent resources available to our clients," said Daniel FitzMaurice, the firm's Litigation Department chair.
Corcione is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and New York Law School. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York.

On June 15, Dina Kapur Sanna and Carl A. Merino moderated a discussion panel at the Cambridge International Wealth Advisors Forum 2.0 held in Lisbon about the role of wealth advisors as "gatekeepers" to the financial system and measures being implemented by different jurisdictions to combat money laundering and tax evasion, including obligations imposed on lawyers and other advisors.
